Our Community Involvement

Wausau Smiles continued to be the premier sponsor of the Wausau Police Awards Banquet in 2019. Dr. Bushong is pictured addressing the crowd of officers and their families.

Wausau Smiles was again a sponsor of the Greater Wausau Chamber of Commerce Golf Open in 2019. We sponsored a foursome (featuring Dr. Bushong) and a hole again this year.

Dr. Aaron Bushong used to be a pitcher for the Wisconsin Woodchucks, who call Athletic Park in Wausau home. We are a longtime sponsor of the team, and each year our staff takes a trip together to a game.

Dr. Aaron Bushong recently threw out the first pitch at a Woodchucks game at Athletic Park alongside Dick Leinenkugel, owner of the Jacob Leinenkugel Brewing Company.

One organization that is dear to Wausau Smiles is Blessings in a Backpack. We donate to the Wausau and D.C. Everest area chapter, and we also collect non-perishable food items that are given to local school children in need.

Master Sergeant James Presley presented Dr. Aaron Bushong and Wausau Smiles with an award for our continuing support of the U.S. armed forces.

Dr. Aaron Bushong arranged for his entire staff to train at the Wausau Police Department. Wausau Smiles is a big supporter and is partnered with local law enforcement.

Dr. Aaron Bushong recently spoke to a Young Adult Medicine class at Wausau East High School, informing the juniors and seniors about the career choice of dentistry and fielding their questions.

Dr. Aaron Bushong visits local Wausau schools, from preschool/elementary through high schools, to give demonstrations to children on everything from proper brushing technique to dental career coaching.
